How does automatic billing work?
Enroll in automatic billing, and relax knowing that your future payments will be made automatically. When you book, we'll calculate an even monthly payment plan and you'll choose the day of the month you want your payments to be processed. It's that easy! Be sure to read the Automatic Billing FAQs for the answers to all your questions.
What are the advantages of automatic billing?
It's convenient. Payments are automatic and evenly divided. No chance of forgetting to pay and being assessed a late fee.
Can multiple people in a stateroom do automated billing?
Yes. Each guest can setup their own automatic billing. If all guests in the cabin enroll, one guest must have Total Automatic Billing and the rest will have Choose Your Amount plans. The guest with Total Automatic Billing will cover the complete balance not covered by the Choose Your Amount plans.
For instance, if two guests book a double cabin for $2000, one guest can do Choose Your Amount automatic billing for $1000, and the other guest can do Total Automatic Billing for the remaining $1000. If the balance changes the guest with Total Automatic Billing will have their payments automatically adjusted.
The first automatic billing plan can be setup online at the time of booking. To add additional automatic billing plans please give us a call after your reservation is created.
What is "Total Automatic Billing"?
Total Automatic Billing is used to pay the entire remaining balance of your reservation via automatic billing. This can be done with one credit card to cover the entire balance of your reservation, or in conjunction with an additional Choose Your Amount plan that covers a portion of the balance.
What is "Choose Your Amount" automatic billing?
Choose Your Amount automatic billing is when you setup a credit card to cover a portion of the total reservation balance. Usually this is done when roommates are splitting the cost.
How many payments will I have and when will they be?
Payments will be monthly on the day of the month you choose. The number of payments is based on how many months there are from the time you book to the final payment date (on or around December 29, 2016). You will see your exact payment plan while you enroll.
What if my balance changes?
If you have Total Automatic Billing and your reservation balance changes (for instance, if you add a guest or upgrade your stateroom), we’ll adjust the payment amounts on the Total Automatic Billing plan and notify all guests via email. Your payment dates won't change.
If you have a Choose Your Amount plan and the reservation balance changes, no automatic adjustments will take place.
Will Sixthman remind me before I'm charged?
Yes, Sixthman will email you payment reminders a few days before each payment is processed, and we'll email a payment confirmation after each payment is processed.
How does Sixthman keep my credit card information safe?
Sixthman's credit card processing company complies with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI DSS), a set of comprehensive requirements developed by the major card brands to facilitate consistent data security measures. In order to protect your information, Sixthman doesn't store your credit card information, but for guests enrolled in automatic billing our credit card processing company does.
What if a credit card is declined at the time of processing?
When a credit card is declined at the time of processing, an email will be sent to guests in the cabin asking that they call in to update their credit card information within 7 days. After 7 days, the automatic billing plan may be cancelled.
